US sustains 2nd causality from IS direct fire in Iraq

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) WASHINGTON March 19 (KUNA) -- The US sustained today its second casualty caused from direct enemy fire in the fight against so-called Islamic State (IS) in Iraq."Earlier today a US Marine providing force protection fire support at a recently established coalition fire base near Makhmur in northern Iraq was killed after coming under IS rocket fire" announced Department of Defense (Pentagon) Press Secretary Peter Cook in a statement Saturday.Cook said that several other US Marines were wounded and their wounds are being treated noting that this second US causality "reminds us of the risks our men and women in uniform face every day."
