UAE- Impressive conclusion to security conference

The activities of the International Conference for Security and National Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016) held under the patronage of Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan National Security Advisor and Vice-Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council have concluded on Thursday evening.

The three-day event witnessed 530 exhibiting companies from 57 countries take part and hosted 200 high-level official delegations and government buyers from 20 countries.

The ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016 and the two co-located exhibitions - the Fire and Emergency Middle East (FEME) and the Occupational Safety and Health Middle East (OSHME) attracted nearly 20000 visitors from public and private sectors in 90 countries.

At the closing ceremony Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi Deputy Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016 said: "The seventh edition of ISNR has witnessed a wide and remarkable turnout of people from different age groups and nationalities."

Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia during his visit to the pavilions said that the UAE is a pioneer in acquiring the latest in security and risk prevention technologies. He said that the UAE leads the way in all areas of innovation and creativity which represents an incentive to countries of the region and the world to follow in its steps.

He expressed admiration for the cutting-edge security and safety technologies and equipment exhibited especially those created by Emiratis.

A variety of activities

The event included five exhibitions more than 60 seminars and ten live events. Representatives of exhibiting companies attributed the unprecedented success of the event to a number of factors such as the area expansion compared to the previous edition the targeted categories the high quality of exhibiting companies the ease of access to exhibitors' pavilions and their distribution in specialised halls.

More than 2550 students from various high schools and universities across the country attended "The Aftershock II" live demonstration on responding to crisis and emergencies at ISNR.

Major Amina Mohamed Khamis Al Baloushi Head of the Student Visiting Committee at ISNR said: "The higher leadership has been keen to encourage student participation in the various activities of the exhibition especially the live demonstration Aftershock II."

The Security Inspection Department (K9) at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ presented live screenings and shows for visitors of ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016. The K9 police sniffer dogs' performances were acclaimed by the visitors who attended the exhibition.

Colonel Jamal Habash Head of the Security Inspection Department (K9) said that the department scheduled screenings of documentary films about the efforts of the K9 Department in areas of search and rescue to the public at the Ministry of Interior's pavilion.

Contracts worth over Dh1 billion

41 contracts amounting to Dh1043507734 were signed

> The MoI and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters signed Dh652385430 worth of contracts on the final day

> MoI signed three supply contracts worth Dh46340000 with Emirates Computers for supplying and delivering e-passports

> Dh44 million contract with National Ambulance to deliver fully equipped ambulances and provide operating and management services for the northern emirates.

> Dh14 million contract was signed with Saeed Salem Khalfan Commercial Agencies to deliver mid-sized four-wheel fire trucks.

> Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters signed 18 contracts with a total value of Dh548045430.
