PKK terrorist killed in Turkey's southeast


(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) >Security sources have said a PKK terrorist was “neutralized” in counter-terrorism operations in Turkey’s southeastern province of Diyarbakir on Friday.

The death took place in Baglar district’s Kaynartepe neighborhood.

On March 15 a police officer was martyred and 10 others injured when PKK terrorists attacked.

The head of Baglar district’s administration issued a curfew in Kaynartepe neighborhood on Tuesday.

The PKK – also listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. and the EU – resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in late July 2015.

Since then more than 290 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of PKK terrorists killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq.
