UAE- MoI signs agreement on combating drugs with Afghan counterpart

The Ministry of Interior recently signed a collaboration agreement with its Afghan counterpart in the fight against drugs on the sidelines of the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR Abu Dhabi 2016) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC).

The agreement was signed by Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah AlSha'far Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior and by Lieutenant General Baz Mohammad Ahmadi Assistant of the Afghan Minister of Interior for combating drugs representing the Afghan Ministry of Interior.

The agreement aims at enhancing cooperation in the fight against drugs exchanging expertise in the field of training and information as well as the best policing practices in the fight against drugs between the two countries.

The signing ceremony was attended by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior; Brigadier Jassem Al Mansouri from the Inspector General's Office at the MoI; and Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Mazroui Head of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Interior on behalf of the Ministry of interior.

On behalf of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan the signing was attended by Abdul Samad Muneeb from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Fadlallah Rashtin Acting Head of the Afghan Embassy in the UAE.
