UAE newspapers hail Emir of Qatar s visit to the UAE

ABU DHABI 18th March 2016 (WAM) - Leading newspapers in the UAE devoted their editorials today to the historic visit made by the Emir of Qatar His highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the UAE.

The Abu Dhabi-based 'Al Ittihad' welcomed Sheikh Tamim's visit at the head of a high ranking delegation and his meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

"It was not a regular meeting but a meeting of identical visions and joint action. The UAE and Qatar work for the good of the region. They work for its security and stability and for those who try fishing in troubled waters we say: you lose your bet every time."

The Sharjah-based 'Al Khaleej' highlighted the importance of Sheikh Mohamed's meeting with his brother the Emir of Qatar.

"This meeting in particular was of great importance because it is a precursor to transform the strong bonds between the peoples of the UAE and Qatar into more cooperation to serve our common goals and to lay the foundation for a bright future."

'Alroeya' newspaper also commented on the visit saying; "The meeting in 'the home of Zayed' sent a clear message that Abu Dhabi and Doha are pressing ahead with endeavours to serve the interests of the two fraternal peoples and the people of the Gulf."

In a commentary headlined "Welcome Emir of Qatar" 'Al Watan newspaper said relations between the UAE and Qatar have been founded on joint work and cooperation between the brothers under the GCC umbrella.
