Five year old died in school bus accident in Qatar

Doha: A five-year-old Indian boy died when the school bus he was travelling met with an accident today. Few other kids travelling along with him are also injured.

The exact reason for the accident is not known but media reports said the school bus toppled over.

Aiden Varughese Shaji was a kindergarten student of Sarvodaya school which has two branches one in Al Hilal and another at Bin Mahmoud. The accident happened while the students were on their way home from school.

One Malayalam website said there were 16 students in the bus and a few are admitted to the emergency departement with serious injury.

Various media reports said that the driver is being questioned by the authorities.

The boy's father Shaji Varughese hails from Tiruvalla Kerala a southern state of India and works for Qatar Airways and his mother Reena Mathew is a nurse with Rumailah hospital. Sister is MES school student.
