Oman's Galfar wins 299 mln construction project

DUBAI: Oman's Galfar Engineeringhas been awarded a 115 million rials ($299.21 million)construction contract by the country's top oil and gas producerGalfar said on Wednesday.

Galfar will build a new central processing facility atPetroleum Development Oman's (PDO) Yibal Khuff project southwest of Muscat it said in a bourse statement. The contract isduration is 51 months.

"We expect reasonable income from this project" Galfaradded.

PDO is 60 percent owned by Oman's government 34 percent byRoyal Dutch Shell 4 percent by Total and 2percent by Portugal's Partex according to its website.
