Microsoft bids on mega profits with Xbox, Windows mix

(MENAFN) Microsoft vowed that with its new Windows Universal Platform, developers could write their apps once and they would run on any device running Windows 10; including PCs, tablets, mobiles, and, eventually, the Xbox One.

In accordance, excluding the big names such as Facebook, Twitter, Dropbox, Hulu and Uber, developers across all industries have been slow and hesitating to sign on with the all new Windows Universal Platform.

Additionally, developers are worried that recreating their current applications for the Universal platform is simply too much work, while simultaneously giving the Redmond-based tech giant too much control over the PC software market.

However, Microsoft explained that on the contrary, it's actually trying to open up all kinds of doors to help developers make a lot more cash and win more fans, by smashing together Xbox One and WP together with Windows 10.
