Qatar Participates in the Asian Wrestling Championship


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Qatar National Wrestling Team participates in the Asian Championship that will be held in Kazakhstan as of tomorrow, Thursday and lasts 5 days.

The championship includes many of the countries of the continent, who aim for qualifying to Rio, Brazil.

Mr. Khaled Al-Musaifri, General Secretary of the Qatar Wrestling Federation, said that the Qatari delegation is leaving for Kazakhstan today, Wednesday, headed by Mubarak Jabor Al Mannai, Assistant General Secretary of the Qatar Wrestling Federation.

The delegation includes Alexander Fofna, free wrestling, Michael Karokin, Roman wrestling and Abdulrahman Ibrahim (65 kg) free wrestling and Bakhit Sharif (75 kg, Roman wrestling).

Al-Musafir added that this championship is a great chance for Qatar Champions to achieve advanced places and qualify for Rio Olympiad.
