Mowasalat Participates in GCC Traffic Week

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Mowasalat like every year showed its support and solidarity with its participation in the GCC Traffic Week 2016, in joining hands with the Traffic Department's initiative to bring awareness to the public practicing safe driving skills and alleviate accidents.

Through a prominent stand in the traffic activities exhibition, Mowasalat has participated in the GCC Traffic Week, which was held under the slogan (Your decision determines your destiny). The main objective was to support the aspirational traffic awareness campaigns and confirm its continuous efforts towards providing and achieving the maximum protection and awareness for citizens and residents from all ages.

As part of its participation, Mowasalat introduced the latest devices, which are used, for driver training programs emphasizing on the importance of safe driving and alertness on the road, used in Karwa Driving School (KDS), and educated the visitors about them. It exhibited the light vehicles training devices, and the newly introduced driving simulator of heavy vehicles and dangerous goods transportation.

As Mowasalat's Karwa Driving School is the only training school which offers Diverse Exclusive Driver Training program and is the only accredited organization in the State of Qatar that provides this type of licenses for the dangerous goods transport, as the training is provided under the supervision of specialized trainers accredited from the International Road Transport Union (IRU). This training program is acknowledged and recognized by QP who has given a directive to RLIC companies to ensure that all related parties for transporting dangerous goods should undergo this ADR training program as a mandatory requirement.

Mowasalat was also keen on providing awareness to the school students, and to guide them through the display of the school bus which has additional safety features for the use of school children. Also, to give them security and safety tips for the proper use of the school transportation, focusing on the importance of the seat belts and the proper way of sitting down in the bus.

Mowasalat's main objective is to encourage the public to be more cautious while driving safely on the road. Therefore, it used its simulators and devices to give a realistic experience to convince users of the huge different results comparing the cases when using the seat belt, as against not using it. In addition, Mowasalat focused on the importance of paying full attention to the road while driving in order to avoid accidents and save lives. In addition, the company is keen to spread the message to the public on the optimal practice for applying safety, security and protective measures.

Mowasalat's participation in the GCC traffic Week diversified from introducing the dangerous goods transportation training, and offered booklets about traffic guidelines and explanatory information, as well as giving information on how to obtain a driving license. Mowasalat also had played a role in raising traffic awareness, as a responsible State Transport operator and transport solutions provider in the country, working with a vision "To be the first choice provider of World Class innovative transport solutions & services and inspire a legacy in the region."
