Hyundai, Kia EU's car sales surge 17.7pct in Feb


(MENAFN) Hyundai Motor Co. and its smaller associate KIA Motors Corp., witnessed their sales in Europe soar almost 18 percent on-year through February.

The two South Korean giant automakers sold a combined 66,632 vehicles in Europe last month, reflecting a 17.7 percent climb 2014, based on recent reports.

In particular, Hyundai sold a total of 35,324 cars, a 14.1 percent hike from a year earlier, while Kia Motors' sales also increased 22 percent to 31,308 vehicles.

All in all, the overall auto sales in all Europe surged approximately 14 percent on-year to nearly 1.09 million units, according to the latest compiled data.
