Oman- Dar al Atta'a funds training of literacy programme teachers

Dar al Atta'a in cooperation with the department of Continuous Education at the Directorate General of Education recently organised a training course for teachers in Muscat associated with the literacy programme.

According to a press release the course comes in line with the charity organisation's commitment to support Omani society by improving the literacy rate. The course aims to equip teachers with effective tools and guidance to assess students' needs in villages.

As many as 20 teachers from 11 educational institutions undertook the course. The course was held between March 6 and 10 and showed how new learning aids can be used to teach people science and other subjects.

The course also taught teachers the importance of maintaining an assessment and academic record. They were conducted and supervised by Rajaa bint Saif al Busaidi and Yahya bin Mohammed al Mayaani.
