This year's open day is marked by triple celebrations of the Teachers' Day Culture Day and Entrepreneurial Day on Thursday.

The celebration will be inaugurated by the college dean Dr Hafidh Taher Ba Omar. The different departments and centres of the college like business engineering information technology ELC and ETC will contribute their share for the success of the grand event. The opening ceremony will be followed by a grand cultural exhibition by about a dozen nationalities who hail from the staff community of NCT which will showcase the cultural diversities like artefacts costumes souvenirs culinary specialties etc of various countries.

The exhibition aims at creating awareness of the cultures of different countries and establishing stronger bonds among teachers and the students. Student societies from different departments will also take part in the celebration with games and a variety of activities that will engage the rest of the students. Besides these a bazaar of traditional crafts souvenirs and other items will be held from where the visitors can buy the things of their choice.

In the evening a programme has been set up to honour the teaching staff and those who retired from the college. Each department will participate in the talent showcase of song and dance. Food stalls will be set up which will sell the traditional food items of various countries. The Open Day is organised by the college management together with the heads of the different departments and representatives from the staff.
