(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Ramallah March 15 (QNA) - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met here Tuesday with France's special envoy for peace initiative Pierre Vimont.
During the meeting Vimont reviewed with Abbas French ideas to hold an international conference on the political process and form an international support group in addition to his contacts with international parties in this regard.
Abbas confirmed readiness of the Palestinian side to fully cooperate with the French side adding that Palestine was in contact with the relevant parties to drum support for an international conference and find an international mechanism to resolve the Palestinian issue in accordance with the principle of two-state solution the Arab peace initiative the resolutions of international legitimacy and to set a timetable for ending the occupation.(QNA)
