(MENAFN- Arab Times) The 7th Kuwait Open Tennis Championship, which is sponsored by the Head of Kuwait and Arab tennis federations, will end on Wednesday, March 16. Over 350 male and female Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates of different age groups have been participating in this championship.
The final match of men's singles category will be held at 4:30pm, followed by the closing ceremony at the main tennis court of Yarmouk Sports Club in Mishref area. Abdulhameed Al-Shatti will be facing Abdulrahman Al-Awadhi in the finals match to be held, after Al-Shatti defeated Ali Al-Ghareeb by 6/4 and 6/1 and Al-Awadhi defeated Abdulaziz Mayouf by 6/0 and 7/5 in the semi-finals.
Dana Al-Fulaih came first in the women's singles category after defeating Aseel Al-Kandari by 9-7. Yaqoub Yousef came first in the Under-11 category followed by Abdulrazzak Abdul. In the Under-13 category, Mani won the first place and Mohsen Jamal took the second place. In the Under-17 youth category, Hussain Jamal came first followed by Ahmad Moufi d Khamees.
