(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh Jumada II 07 1437 March 16 2016 SPA -- The first meeting of the Saudi-Russian Joint Nuclear Coordinating Committee was held here yesterday.
The meeting comes in the framework of the cooperation agreement signed between the two countries for cooperation in the peaceful uses of atomic energy signed on June 18 2015.
During the meeting held yesterday the two sides discussed aspects of cooperation in the field of peaceful uses of atomic energy and ways of boosting cooperation and implementation of joint programs especially benefiting from the technology and expertise in atomic energy enjoyed by Russia which could contribute to the implementation of nuclear power projects in the kingdom.
