Qatar- China S. Korea Agree to Fully Implement New UN Sanctions on N. Korea


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Beijing March 15 (QNA) - China and South Korea have agreed to fully implement the new UN sanctions on North Korea as the North's leader threatens to conduct a nuclear warhead test.

South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se held a telephone discussion with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Monday and exchanged views on the latest situation on the Korean Peninsula the Chinese ministry said in a statement.

The two ministers agreed that the new UN sanctions slapped on North Korea following the North's fourth nuclear test and rocket launch this year should be implemented in a full and comprehensive manner.They also agreed to work together on exploring ways to resume talks with North Korea according to the statement.

Since the UN Security Council adopted new sanctions on North Korea Pyongyang has issued threats of a nuclear strike on nearly a daily basis.North Korean leader Kim Jong-un ordered his country to soon conduct a nuclear warhead test and test-launch ballistic missiles the North's official news agency said on Tuesday stepping up its warlike rhetoric.
