KRSC launches kidney dialysis project for Syrian refugees


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT March 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRSC) launched on Tuesday a kidney dialysis project in Lebanon among its humanitarian efforts to help the Syrian refugee patients.KRSC's head of volunteers department Dr. Musa'ad Al-Enezi told KUNA that the project included treatment for Syrian refugee patients for a six-month period and providing appropriate medical equipment such as dialyzers in coordination with Orange Naso Hospital Tripoli and the Lebanese Red Cross (LRC).Al-Enezi pointed out that dialysis treatments are costly for these Syrians who face difficulties in securing such treatment prompting the KRSC to continue this project pointing out that the Society presented a modern device for dialysis.Since the eruption of the Syria crisis the KRCS has been active offering assistance to thousands of refugees all over Lebanon.A KRCS delegation is visiting Lebanon to extend humanitarian aid for Syrians throughout Lebanese territories offering help to the refugees all year round.
