Sheikha Fatima attends UAE ZU HCT female students graduation ceremony

ABU DHABI 14th March 2016 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU) Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood attended this evening the graduation ceremony of female students of UAE University (UAEU) Zayed University (ZU) and Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT).

The ceremony to graduate batches 35th of UAE 14th of the ZU and 25th of the HCT was also attended by H.H. sheikha Fatima bint Zayed bin Saqr Al Nahyan wife of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman Sheikha Ousha bint Shakhbout Al Nahyan mother of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development H.H. Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan wife of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Ruler's Representative in the Western Region H.H. Sheikha Khawla bint Ahmed Khalifa Al Suwaidi wife of H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan National Security Adviser H.H. Sheikha Al Yaziyah bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan wife of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.H. Sheikha Lateefa bint Zayed Al Nahyan Sheikha Fakhra bint saeed bin Shakhbout Al Nahyan wife of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Sheikha Fatima bint Sahmi Sheikha Aysha bint Suhail bin Mubarak Al Ketbi Sheikha Lateefa bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed wife of Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan Sonia M'barek Tunisian Minister of Culture and Heritage Preservation Sheikhas ministers FNC members and women leaders.

In a speech read on her behalf by Dr Maitha Al Shamsi Minister of State Sheikha Fatima congratulated the graduates and urged them to make more effort and promote the process of creativity and innovation.

Sheikha Fatima said this year's graduation coincides with the UAE marking 2016 as the 'Year of reading' to encourage all people of the UAE to enrich their knowledge and to build capabilities.

She said the UAE achievements would have not been made without the leadership's wise vision for education and modern technology. She praised the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan towards education.

In her speech Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi Minister of State for Tolerance and President of ZU thanked President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for their continuous support and for their wise leadership of UAE's quest for excellence.

She also praised Sheikha Fatima's vision and pioneering role in the development of the UAE women.

The graduates speech was delivered by Hamda Musabah Gahnim Al Romaithi from UAEU followed by a poem read by Mariam Mohammed Al Kindi also from the UAEU.
