Qatar- UN US Condemn Terrorist Attack in Ankara


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) New York March 14 (QNA) - UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned the terrorist attack which rocked the Turkish capital of Ankara on Sunday killing and wounding dozens of people."The Secretary-General sends his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims" said a statement issued by Ban's spokesman.

He noted that the UN continues to support and stand in solidarity with the people and the Government of Turkey at this trying time.Meanwhile the United States strongly condemned the terrorist attack in the Kizilay district of Ankara."We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those killed and we wish a quick recovery to those injured" US Assistant Secretary and Department Spokesperson John Kirby said in a statement.

He reaffirmed the US strong partnership with Turkey in combatting the shared threat of terrorism. (QNA)
