Qatar Participates in Arab Judicial Meeting on Terrorism


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Cairo March 13 (QNA) - A two-day meeting of the technical committee assigned to consider an internal system of the Arab judicial cooperation network on counter-terrorism and organized crime began here today at the headquarter of the Arab League General-Secretariat under the chairmanship of Bahrain and the participation of experts from justice ministries in Arab states.
The State of Qatar is participating at the meeting with a delegation led by head of the prosecution of eastern Doha Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Mohannadi.
The meeting is being held in implementation of a decision taken by Arab justice ministers on November 19. It called for the formation of a technical committee to consider the internal system of the network.
The Arab League underlined the importance of the formation of that network in order to find instruments to facilitate and expedite investigations and judicial prosecution of acts of terrorism.
In a statement issued today the Arab League said experiences had proved that judicial cooperation networks became effective adding that their cost is low against the effective response it achieve in the prevention of crime and its success in facilitating and expediting the Arab and international legal cooperation.(QNA)
