Jordan- Dusty relatively cold conditions forecast till Wednesday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman March 14 (Petra) -- The Kingdom will be affected on Monday by a relatively cold air mass bringing a tangible drop in temperatures to become around their annual average. Therefore it will be dusty relatively cold and partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance for drizzles across the country.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) winds will be southwesterly to westerly moderate to brisk blowing dust in the eastern and southern regions.

Cold and cloudy conditions are expected to prevail during the night with a remaining chance for scattered showers mainly in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom and southwesterly moderate winds the JMD added.

Another drop in temperatures is forecast on Tuesday and Wednesday but similar relatively cold and partly cloudy conditions will prevail with a chance for scattered showers in the southern and eastern parts of the country.

Temperatures in the capital for today will range between a high of 15 degrees Celsius and a low of 9 degrees at night while they are expected to reach a maximum of 12 degrees in the northern regions and drop to a minimum of 7 degrees. Mercury levels in the gulf of Aqaba will hit 23 degrees plunging to 13 degrees at night.
