Kuwait- Information Minister affirms regulating private museums


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT March 14 (KUNA) -- Information Minister Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah on Monday underscored necessity of regulating private museums which constitute an inseparable part of Kuwait national heritage and history.Sheikh Salman who doubles as the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Chairman of the National Council for Culture Arts and Letters called for renovating these museums and render them more attractive and accommodating for visitors and heritage aficionados.The official gazette published on Sunday laws regulating these museums' activities tasking the Council with administrating them and setting some terms.Kuwait is rich in private museums estimated at more than 50. They include Bait Al-Othman Museum Tareq Rajab Museum Dickson House the House of Mirrors and the ancient Mubarak Kiosk. (end) mdm.rk
