Australian ambassador was metres from Ankara blast

(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Sydney Jumada II 05 1437 March 14 2016 SPA -- Australia's ambassador to Turkey narrowly escaped the blast that killed 34 people in Ankara Foreign Minister Julie Bishop said Monday according to dpa.
Bishop said Ambassador James Larsen was in his vehicle at the intersection when the bomb went off just 20 metres away.
"He is fine obviously shaken by what he saw. We don't believe there are any foreigners that have been killed or injured in the attack but investigations are still under way" she told Sky News.
"He said it was a horrific sight. He is OK - all the Australian embassy staff are OK."
