UAE- Love at finish line for Colour Run couple

In the end of an ecstatic running event in the Capital it was love at finish line for two runners!

The Colour Run presented by Daman's ActiveLife had its most colourful twist as the run celebrated its first marriage proposal as Michelle Velasco said 'yes' to AlRen Vincent Bucoy on the finish line stage in front of thousands of runners.

Vincent Bucoy said: "First off I knew I had to do something special for her. A couple of friends told us about the Colour Run and I thought what a cool and colourful way to propose. I really wanted to set a time when she was least expecting it.

"Proposing in front of thousands of people cheering us on at the finish festival was such an amazing experience with all of my friends and family there and it will be something I will never forget."

More than 8000 ran through a kaleidoscope of colours in the Yas Marina Circuit event.

Daman's ActiveLife ambassador Omar Nour said: "This has by far been the most exciting edition of the Colour Run yet with the first ever marriage proposal. The finish festival is always the best post-5k party on the planet but this took it to a whole new level - everyone went wild and the atmosphere was incredible.

"The best thing about this event is that anything can happen and I am looking forward to sharing more crazy moments like this with colour runners in the future."

Participants at the run revelled in a triumphant flurry of colour at the pink yellow green and blue color stations. The euphoria culminated with the Daman's ActiveLife 'Rainbow Row' the ultimate multi-colour station.

In keeping with the event's community focus $1 from every entry at the Colour Run was donated to Friends of Cancer Patients through the Just Giving platform.
