Indonesia's furniture exports to hit USD5b in 4 years

(MENAFN) Indonesia forecasts the export value of its furniture to touch USD5 billion yearly in the following five years, based on recent official reports.

That compares with USD2.2 billion shipment of the products to abroad markets in 2014, USD1.8 billion back in 2013 and a total of USD1.4 billion back in 2012.

The Southeast Asian Republic has been seeking to inspire shareholders in the industry to develop innovation to comply with the taste of global buyers.

Furthermore, the Indonesian government has also barred outbound shipment of woods and rattan in a bid to significantly boost added value of the raw materials.
