KSA to develop 70 percent share in Jordan's green project


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power Intl' proclaimed that it acquired 70 percent of Sunrise Solar Energy, which is developing a 50 megawatt solar power plant in Mafraq.

Furthermore, the value of the deal was estimated at more than USD 200mn, while it's expected to be finished in August 2017.

Additionally, the project will be situated at Al Hussein Bin Talal Development Zone in Mafraq and will also house two other renewable energy power plants.

Jordan recently imports 97 percent of its energy needs annually, signed many deals for renewable energy projects which will be applied by 2020.
