(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Brussels Jumada II 3 1437 Mar 12 2016 SPA -- The EU welcomed today the appointment of Ahmed Abdul Ghait as new Secretary General of league of Arab States.
In a statement EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said that Abdul Ghait's experience determination and leadership will be crucial in driving the League's initiatives forward in a region faced with multiple challenges and opportunities.
She expressed her thanks and appreciation go to the outgoing Secretary General Nabile Al-Araby for the constructive and excellent cooperation over the past years.
