Oman- Indian School Sohar holds scouts and guides c

Indian School Sohar organised its 23rd Annual Scouts and Guides Camp recently.

It was for the first time the school organised a camp in its own premises. Various activities and programmes were carried out smoothly and enthusiastically by the camp coordinator Kamal Gurung with the assistance of thirteen teachers.

The Chief Guest Dr Mahesh Mistry member of school managing committee hoisted the flag and declared the camp 'Open'. He addressed the gathering with an empowering speech which symbolically reminded everyone that although it was our 23rd camp there were many surprises awaiting.

On the first day all the troops had a basic test. The trekking at Seh Makharan was a great experience for both students and teachers. Many activities and games like Treasure Hunt and Tug of War were conducted. The winners gained points for their troops. The most interesting of all was the campfire with many entertaining acts filled with fun and excitement.

The next day started with exercises thrilling adventure test and kit inspection for which the troops were awarded marks and prizes.

Principal Sanchita Verma welcomed Ajay Damani member of school managing committee for the closing ceremony. Acknowledging the skills talents and discipline of scouts and guides in various events that took place results were announced. Damani addressed the gathering and presented the awards for the best scouts and guides.
