5.3 magnitude quake hits off Morocco s Mediterranean coast

RABAT 11th March 2016 (WAM) --- A 5.3-magnitude earthquake today struck Morocco's northeastern cities of Nador and El Hoceima the Moroccan National Institute of Geophysics announced.

The institute said the quake struck at 4:16 am and was followed three minutes later by a 4.3-magnitude tremor the institute said in a statement carried by Morocco's state news agency MAP It said the epicentre of the quake was off the two Moroccan Mediterranean cities.
