Qatar and Turkey review investment opportunities


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatar and Turkey delegations at the event.

DOHA: Qatar and Turkey enjoy distinguished bilateral relations at all levels and sectors and Turkish companies have great contributions in the Qatari market Qatar Chamber board member Mohamed Ahmed Al Obaidli said at a meeting with a Turkish delegation at QC headquarters recently.

The delegation was headed by Ibrahim Comaktekin Governor of Amasya in the north of Turkey and included Cafer Ozdemir Mayor of Amasya Murat Kirlangic Chairman of Amasya Chamber of Commerce and Erdin Guden Middle Anadolu Agency.

The meeting reviewed the available investment opportunities in Qatar and Amasya at fields of agriculture and natural marble. Qatari businessmen Yossef Jassim Al Darwish and Abdulla Ali Al Abdulla were also present.

Al Obaidli assured the tremendous role played by the Qatari private sector in achieving the economic diversification strategy adding that Qatar is keen to eliminate all obstacles that might hinder the sector’s contribution in the national economy.

He expressed the Chamber’s readiness to provide the Turkish delegation with data and information necessary for doing business in Qatar.

The head of Turkish mission for his part said that Qatari investments in Amasya are more than welcome.

He invited Qatari businessmen to visit Amasya to meet their counterparts and to closely explore the investment opportunities.
