UAE- Online application for pharmaceutical licenses from March 13

Applications for issuing licenses to pharmacies and pharmacists will be done online only according to a senior health official.

Dr Amin Husssein Al Amiri assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Health and Prevention said on Tuesday that the procedure will come into effect starting March 13.

"The ministry effective March 13 will stop receiving manual applications for licensing pharmacies and pharmacists" he said.

A circular has already been issued to put the system in place. Dr Al Amiri said the move was in context of updating and developing the corporate governance system to make all government bodies smart online and available round-the-clock to all customers.

"The circular is meant for the medical warehouses and scientific offices in all the emirates as well as the pharmacies on the northern emirates pharmacists and assistant pharmacists" he noted.

The interactive platform will also be used to stay in touch with customers receive feedback and inform them with any updates on pharmaceutical licenses and system.
