Rain accompanied by thunder lightning and hail greet Dohaites

Doha: Qatar Meteorological Department had predictedscattered rains with high winds and thunder in some areas today. And proving it right was the rain that lashed across Doha early morning. Accompanied by it was the hail storm that were experienced in certain parts of the city.

While some schools operated there were few who opted to announce a holiday.

Most highways and ring roads saw some heavy traffic due to the continuous down pour in the city.
