Kuwait Oil Price Up USD 2.13%


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The price of Kuwaiti crude oil went up USD 2.13 to reach USD 32.23 per barrel Tuesday as opposed to USD 30.10 per barrel last Friday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).

Tuesday Global oil markets jumped more than 5% on Monday, with Brent Blend hitting a 2016 peak above USD 40 a barrel, after Ecuador said it was holding a meeting of Latin American crude producers as OPEC sought a higher anchor price for oil.

The Brent mix settled up USD 2.12 at USD 40.84, while US crude rose USD 1.98, or 5.5%, to settle at USD 37.90.
