(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Qatar Stock Exchange index (QSE) continued its upward swing, adding 49.58 points or +0.48% when the bourse closed trading at 10,418.23 points Tuesday.
The daily turnover today fell to QR 455.925 Million with a volume of 12, 129,880 shares from 6,219 deals compared to QR 652.83 Million with a volume of 23,298,599 shares from 9,120 deals on Monday.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE, shares of 38 saw trading today. From these 15 gained, 20 closed lower and three remained unchanged. Indices of all five sectors ended in the green and two in the red. Insurance index gained the most, up +3.79% to 4,557.17 points.
QSE Total Return Index gained +0.68% to 16,544.67 points. QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index gained +0.42% to 3,890.56 points and QSE All Share Index gained +0.53% to 2,814.91 points.
