Two killed as rocket from Syria lands in southern Turkey


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Istanbul Jumada I 29 1437 March 09 2016 SPA -- Rockets originating from Syria landed Tuesday in Kilis a town in southern Turkey killing two people the state-run Anadolu news agency reported according to dpa.
Among the dead was a child. Two people were wounded.
Schools in the area were evacuated. The rockets caused damage to buildings.
Stray rockets and mortars have occasionally landed in southern Turkey due to the civil war in neighbouring Syria.
