Morocco Strongly Condemns Terror Attack in Tunisia

(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Morocco has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted on Monday police and military posts in the Tunisian city of Ben Guerdane killing many civilians and security forces members.

The kingdom of Morocco which rejects terrorism and extremism that represent a threat to international peace and security reaffirms its solidarity with the Republic of Tunisia its government and its people the ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation said in a statement.

Morocco also underlines that the perpetrators of this abject crime seek to undermine Tunisia’s security and stability and spread terror the statement added.

The Kingdom stresses the need to intensify and coordinate regional and international efforts in order to deal with cross-border terrorist threats particularly in North Africa the Sahel region and the Sahara the statement said.

Morocco extends its heartfelt condolences to the Tunisian government and the bereaved families and expresses its wishes of swift recovery to the wounded the source concluded.
