Amazon intends to build VR interface
(MENAFN) Amazon, the top American electronic commerce and cloud computing company is making a new virtual reality platform within its Amazon Video service.
The retail giant declared that this will include an ingestion and playback platform for Virtual Reality experiences that could operate like its competitors' platforms.
Moreover, the Virtual Reality team plans to create the platform and interface for immersive storytelling, ultimately to beat rivals to the punch for 3D experiences.
However, it may be some time before we see what the firm is planning, bearing in mind the current libraries of thousands of regular 2D movies and TV shows.
