Saudi- Chinese exports down 20 per cent in February


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Beijing Jumada I 28 1437 Mar 8 2016 SPA -- China's exports slumped 20.6 per cent year on year in February while imports dropped 8 per cent dpa cited official figures as showing Tuesday.
The decline in exports widened significantly from a 6.6-per-cent decrease in January the General Administration of Customs said.
Total foreign trade dropped 15.7 per cent year on year to 1.43 trillion yuan (220 billion dollars) in February from a 9.8-per-cent contraction in the previous month.
The decline in foreign trade come amid concerns about a further slowdown in China's economy.
After decades of faster growth GDP grew by 6.9 per cent in 2015 the slowest in more than a quarter of a century. The growth target for this year is at least 6.5 per cent.
