Qatar- GCC Chief Meets UN Special Envoy for Yemen

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Riyadh March 07 (QNA) - The GCC Secretary-General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani met here Monday with UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.
Talks during the meeting covered the latest developments in Yemen and efforts being exerted by the UN envoy for the resumption of political consultations between the Yemeni parties to restore peace and security in Yemen on the basis of the GCC initiative and its executive mechanism and the outputs of the comprehensive national dialogue conference with implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
In another meeting Al Zayani met with the Director-General of the European Commission's Directorate General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) Henrik Hololei.
They discussed prospects of cooperation between the GCC and the European Commission and ways of enhancing them in the transport aviation and railway fields.(QNA)
