Iran's 1st crude shipment hits Spain

(MENAFN) The Monte Toledo oil tanker covered the uneventful trip from Iran to Spain with a haul of one million barrels of crude in only 17 days, but its journey has been four years in the making.

On last Sunday, the tanker became the first to deliver Iranian crude into Europe since mid-2012, when Brussels enforced an oil prohibition on the Islamic Republic over its nuclear program.

According to the latest compiled data, across Europe, other tankers with Iranian oil are close behind the Monte Toledo, as in Feb, 29 vessels loaded crude from the Persian Gulf Republic.

Furthermore, arrangements have been made for the return of the Middle Eastern republic to the market, thus it declared that its oil outbound shipments will soon return to two million barrels a day.
