UAE- Sharjah Media Centre to unveil agenda for IGCF 2016

SHARJAH 7th March 2016 (WAM) -- Sharjah Media Centre is set to host a press conference on Wednesday at Al Qasba Theatre to unveil the agenda for the upcoming International Government Communication Forum IGCF 2016 that will run from 20th to 21st March at Sharjah Expo.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre and Tariq Seed Allay Director of Sharjah Media Centre will highlight the theme for this year's forum and share details on the activities topics sessions and workshops.

Speakers participating in this year's discussions and the agenda for the closing ceremony of the Sharjah Government Communication Award that will be held on the second day of the forum will also be unveiled.

The press conference will be followed by a panel discussion themed 'The Partnership between the Media and the Government Communication Units'. The conversation will feature Dr. Mohammed Al Hammadi Editor-in-Chief of Al Ittihad Newspaper Raed Barqawi Executive Editor-in-Chief of Al Khaleej Newspaper and Mustafa Al Zarouni Managing Editor of Khaleej Times.

The media briefing will be attended by the jury panel for the Sharjah Government Communication Award as well as members of the media and representatives of IGCF 2016 sponsors. University students and volunteers that have signed up to participate in the forum will also attend the briefing.

The International Government Communication Forum aims to build a platform for better communication between governments and their stakeholders to support the government of Sharjah towards creating a participatory dialogue and to develop government communication mechanisms for the benefit of government institutions in the UAE and the wider region.
