UAE- Dar Al Ber learners shine at RAK Quran Award

DUBAI 7th March 2016 (WAM) -- Two of the Dar Al Ber Society DABS Quran learners have shone at the 16th edition of the Ras al-Khaimah Quran Award which came to a close recently.

Showing exceptional performance Ahmed Mohammed Abdul Azeem who is registered with the 'Ber Quran Memorisation' project managed to rank fourth in the 'Faith Buds' section; a branch of the Award.

Zainab one of the new Muslim converts seized sixth position in the 'Converts' branch in which a contestant needs to memorise at least 20 chapters of the Holy Quran.

Ali Abdullah Al Shehi Manager of Dar Al Ber branch in Ras al-Khaimah said that 18 of the Dar Al Ber Society Quran learners participated in the award this year. "The Society gives special attention to all Quran contests mainly the RAK Quran Award."

"The UAE's prudent leadership spares no effort to support all Quran activities and contests to build up a pious generation brought up on the principles of the Holy Quran" he added. "Such Quran contests and activities give a boost the values of moderation and tolerance among young generations in view of the directives of the UAE's far-sighted leadership."

Al Shehi pointed out that this was the third straight time for Dar Al Ber Society Quran memorisers to take part in the RAK Quran Award. "A big number of Dar Al Ber contestants showing an outstanding performance managed to reach the finals and secure top positions in the RAK Quran Award."
