Arab Union for the Blind Chief Commends Qatar's Support to the Union


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha March 06 (QNA) - President of the Arab Union for the Blind (AUB) Dr. Khalid Al Nuaimi who is also Chairman of the Gulf Association for Human Rights praised the big efforts exerted by Qatar to improve the living conditions of persons with disabilities in all areas lauding the unlimited support provided by the Qatari wise leadership to the Arab Union for the Blind which had had a great impact on improving people with visual impairment across the Arab world.
This came during the opening session of the second Doha conference to discuss the problems of the deafblind (dual disability) organized by the Doha-based Arab Union for the Blind (AUB) which will run here over three days with participation of representatives of civil society organizations and the governments of all Arab countries in addition to a number of experts from Qatar Arab and foreign countries and the World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB).
In his keynote speech Al Nuaimi said the conference will discuss the mechanisms in place to educate persons of dual disability means of prevention and fight against dual disability and embrace people with dual disability and creation of an appropriate environment for dual disability persons in addition to the issue of dual disability between reality and ambition mechanisms to employ persons with dual disability and the view of the deafblind (dual disability) .
