Saudi- Blast on bus kills 1 wounds 17 outside Guatemalan capital
(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) GUATEMALA CITY Jumada I 26 1437 March 06 2016 SPA -- Guatemalan authorities say an explosion on a passenger bus has killed one person and seriously wounded 17 more according to AP.
Firefighters' spokesman Mario Utum confirms that one person died and says emergency workers have tended to victims with second- and third-degree burns.
Interior Minister Francisco Rivas says the blast is being investigated as an attack. He said Sunday that the incident appears similar to a 2010 gang assault on a bus that left nine dead.
The vehicle was carrying dozens of people between San Jose Pinula and Palencia just to the east of the capital at the time of the explosion.
