(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Baghdad Jumada I 26 1437 Mar 6 2016 SPA -- At least 52 people were killed Sunday in Iraq in a suicide truck bombing. The explosion occurred when a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-packed fuel truck into a security checkpoint in the town of Hilla some 100 kilometers south of the capital Baghdad dpa quoted police and health officials as saying.
The dead include security personnel and civilians. At least 67 were also injured.
The attack resulted in the complete destruction of the checkpoint and damage to around 20 vehicles that happened to stop there witnesses said.
