Qatar- Five new health centers to open in the western region

Doha: Director of the Western Region at the Primary Health Care Corporation Dr. Hiyam Ali Al Sada has revealed a plan to expand primary health care services in the western region including the establishment of five new health centers in the next few years.

Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA) Dr. Al Sada announced the opening of two new health centers in Al Wajbah and Muaither by the end of 2016 or the beginning of 2017 followed by a new health center in Al Waab in 2017 and new health centers in Bani Hajar and Ain Khalid in the future.

Expansion works will also include Al Rayyan Health Center this year because of the large turnout Dr Al Sada added.

She noted that increasing the number of health centers in the western region which currently include seven centers aims to ease the pressure on existing centers and to cope with the increasing population in the region in addition to providing high quality services.

Meanwhile Dr. Hiyam Al Sada highlighted the development and the progress made at health centers in the western region which included expansion works application of e-file system as well as the addition of new health services.
