China plans to grow parallel imported cars

(MENAFN) Permitting cars to be imported without providing authorization from automakers, China considers boosting pilots of parallel vehicle imports in its free trade zones.

Additionally, the program is a crucial measure to enhance "supply-side reforms," which is a current theme that basically consists of reducing ineffective and low-end supply.

The State Council conducted the plan in Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone in 2014 before extending it to other free trade zones comprising Tianjin, Guangdong and Fujian in 2015.

The guideline was mutually issued by eight departments, including the MOC, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
