Colm Cloonan finance director at Tlou Energy (LON:TLOU) says the Coalbed Methane producer is well placed to take advantage of a big energy market in Botswana.

Talking to Proactive the area is 'chronically short of power' and Cloonan says the firm is looking to ramp up work at its 'very scalable' Lesedi project in the region.

Last week Tlou began production testing from a pilot well at the project which it hopes will show that sustainable gas production is achievable.

'Botswana is an ideal region with great geology particularly its coal assets which are ideal for Coalbed Methane development' he says.
