Qatari golfers dominate at GCC Golf Chionship

Qatar’s winning team members of the senior and junior teams pose for a picture with officials of Qatar Squash Federation at Doha Golf Club yesterday. Hosts Qatar finished on top in the team category in both the junior and senior sections. Bahrain finished second and UAE took the bronze in the senior section while Kuwait came second in the junior section behind Qatar and Bahrain took the third place. Six countries took part in the championship. In the individual category Saleh Ali Al Kaabi of Qatar came first in the senior section followed by compatriot Ali Al Shahrani and Khalid Yousef Al Jesmi of UAE. In the junior section Ali Al Ansari took the gold medal followed by Arnav Jain of Qatar and Ahmed M Ahmed of Bahrain. Qatar team senior team consisted of Abdulrahman Al Shahrani Saleh Al Kaabi Ali Al Shahrani and Ghanim Al Kuwari while the junior squad comprised of Saoud Al Muhannadi Sami Hussam and Arnev Jain.
